hi dear frens, tsunami seems over already, but the effects of it are still so real - peopleare still displaced, without homes. My boss n colleague went to Indonesianto take a check last month n they came back, shared about how the peoplethere are still experiencing the drastic effects that the tsunami brought.The problems are huge n so real... my organisation is forming teams with various objectives of rebuildinghomes, providing medical care and working with children. we will bepartnering with a number of agencies, possibly Habitat for Humanity(S'pore),Mercy Relief, Tomorrow's Hope, etc. we call this project *C.L.U.B Hope* -C.ome L.et U.s B.uild Hope, the areas we'll be going to are Banda Aceh andNias, Indonesia oh, as some of u know, my org's affiliated to Trinity Christian Centre(TCC); this project has been adopted by TCC meaning they provide the fundingand the manpower (as in people to go in teams), so your expedition costswill been rather heavily subsidised (from their 'tsunami fund') u can read up on the selection criteria, etc in the attached. for myself, i've been waiting for this opportunity that i can be part of thehelping n restoring process, and bring tangible help to the people in need,so, i've signed up for this task... pls think about it seriously, if you would like to be involved in thisproject. sorry if i give u such late notice but u may have to make thedecision pretty fast, like by next week, but the earlier the better. whoknows we might to go during the same period? yup, you can select yourpreferred period (there are one week slots starting from Jul 9 all the wayto Dec10) :) that's as much info i can provide u with...any queries can shoot...lookforward to hearing from you :) Best Regards,Rachael Lim (Mrs)
