Why…When…Where…What?

My Testimony

My parents will bring me to temples to pray for my studies and at times when we were sick, they will bring us to see a medium and pray for our health. When I was young, I always have asthma. I also like to talk to an invisible friend, whenever I was unhappy. When I did something wrong, I will be punished to kneel in front of the altar till early morning.

During Oct 1999, I went to watch “Mission Impossible I”. After watching the movie, I kept thinking about being free in this world, I also started imagining if this is a fake world and what if everything is just going to be wasted. So I prayed a simple prayer “ if you are a real God, then show me how to be free from this world?” coz I was thinking if God is real, He will tell me. Shortly after two weeks, a friend invited me to FOP at indoor stadium. It was my first Christian event. During the event, the preacher kept asking the audience “do you want to be free?” in his message. At first, I did not recall my prayer or even remembered asking this question, but suddenly it struck me that I did. And it is exactly the same question that I asked. I remembered the preacher actually asked and challenged the audience for about twenty times! I felt really touched as I was convinced that it is not just a coincidence but a real encounter with God to help me find the truth. The next day I started going Church and started my journey with God.

Since I started my journey with God, it has been 7 years. Though the journey is not easy, I always remember God’s wonderful love for me. It’s because He first loved me, thus I am able to love others and myself. I really want to thank God for saving and forgiving me on the Cross.

My greatest wish is to be who God wants me to be and to do what God wants me to do.
