DAY 1 – 9/4/2008

- Bring passport and printed Jetstar itinerary!
1740 - Arrive at Taipei CKS Airport

- Buy HP SIM card
- Get maps

Check out the bus counter and take Free Go Express bus as there is 15% using the tourist pass. At the left of CKS Airport able to find the bus counter) to Rainbow Hotel.
Directions to the Freego bus counter/stand in Terminal 2; Out of arrival gate tourist information counter in front of you with free maps available, go right you will see the toilets then right again all the way just at the end go left you will see Freego and all other express buses to different destinations. Buy your tickets there and get further instructions.

Breakfast, buy train ticket to Ruifang (check which direction from Jiufen to Ruifang?)

Transfer bus to Jiufen
0930 Jiufen + Lunch
Afternoon Back to Ruifang

Take bus to Caoling Trail + Taoyuan Valley (Check directions!)

Taipei to Fulong Station, fast / slow train – NT 132 / 85, 60 /80 mins. Leaves every thirty mins.

Caoling trail includes taoyuan valley trail. 5 to 8 hours, entire 16 km.
Fulong visitor centre plan route. End at Daxi station. Or go from daxi station from Taipei station. NT 104, 90 mins, train interval every two hours.
6pm Back to XMD

0930 Take train to Taoyuan Station (30minutes)

Taoyuan Bus bound for Fuxing

Alight at "XuiYuanDi" 水源地

Take a taxi to Furano (approx. 10 min.)

Taxi from Tomita Farm to Furano Farm (vice versa). Taxi fare: About NT$150; travel time 30 mins.

Tomito farm directions: Take a train from Taipei to Taoyuan Station 桃園車站 (30 min.), transfer to a Taoyuan Bus 桃園客運 "Taoyuan---BaLing" route 桃園─巴陵, alight at Toliao 頭寮 and walk 5~10 min

Afternoon Check out La Bambino café?
- La Bambina Cafe which I would recommend is located at 182 Chang An W. Rd or around the area also known as Hou Cher Zhan. The club sandwiches and ice cream coffee were yummy!
Took MRT to Taipei Main Station, walked abt 10 mins to Chongqing street aka Hou Cher Zhan
• Mainly wholesale shops there, selling bags, toys, stationery etc.

182 Chang An W. Road
- The Chou Tofu stall that I really love is next to Rainbow Hotel and opposite the watsons store in Ximending.
- Tai Ping Yang Sogo has a great supermarket selling lots of Japanese products and check out the elevators in the building too!!
Took MRT to Zhongxiao Fuxing station
• Shopped at Taipingyang太平洋 Sogo, 12 storeys of departmental store
• Super supermarket full of Jappy foods tt can’t be found in Singapore
• Ate nice Korean food at basement food court
4pm Check out at Rainbow hotel
